Soul Roots was founded by me, Ravyn Viccellio, with a mission to uplift the Greater Baton Rouge area spiritual community.  As a native of Baton Rouge, my goal of bringing guidance and healing to my hometown is vital in my spiritual journey.  In addition to healing, self-development and magic, I am also a professional Reiki healer and Holistic Wellness Coach.  I offer reiki services and free holistic wellness consults here at Soul Roots.

     I could not find a local experience within our community that I could relate to at any one place, so I decided to bring my own knowledge to a place where everyone should be able to find their experience at one stop.  I believe that the spiritual community should be one of collaboration and acceptance rather than competition and judgment. It should be filled with authenticity and love and it wasn't something I could find easily in the area.

     What put me on my journey to spiritual awakening?  I experienced loss on a large scale and was dealing with my own health issues. I was unhappy and unhealthy and I knew something needed to change. I needed to help myself and  heal my mind, my heart, my soul. I began rewriting my story, changing my thought patterns, meditating and came up with daily spiritual practice. 

It didn't take long to notice the positive changes, to find the tools and methods to heal myself and after a bit I realized I was missing a key component.  I also needed to take my health into my own hands and that led me away from big pharma and into holistic wellness.

     I started learning how to transition to holistic medicines and healings.   I began to open up my mind and spirit and the physicality flowed right behind it.  All of the above sparked a fire, a passion in me and I knew I needed to share this knowledge with others. I needed and wanted to help others no matter where they may be on their journey and thus Soul Roots was created.
